I like intimate landscapes. Especially when it comes to scenes of rather stark beauty such as this wetland. The dead trees create patterns of lines and textures that only become evident as you get in close with your lens. Some might view this scene as somewhat chaotic, but nature tends not to be as orderly as our minds might wish. It is this "difference of views" between humans and raw nature that intrigues me, and maybe why I like to emphasise that difference. We all, afterall, come from nature ourselves.
